The younger cat sister is a friendly NPC who will join your party upon reading a catsister's diary.
You can buy the diary from Miral and Garok's Workshop for 85 medals, and may rarely find one in dungeons.
The Catsister race has the advantage of around twice as much speed as most other races... and the disadvantage of having only a third as much health. They have tremendous bonuses to dexterity and perception, making them theoretically good ranged-damage-dealers.
They unfortunately also lack any sort of special skills and as such, rely upon standard weapon attacks.
Because of their starting level of 1, gene engineering a cat sister may be the only way to boost her up to a level where she will be of use. Giving her marksman and Eye of Mind should be a priority if you intend to use her as a ranged damage dealer. Her skills in melee lean towards dual wielded light weapons; short/long swords and medium armor.
Since it will be a long time before you get a King Heart, you will need to stack resistances on her to survive AOE and spells.
Elona+ adds the ability to upgrade her through Pet Evolution, giving her either +50 life (which would give her 2.67 times as much health) and +10 speed, or just straight +100 speed (giving her triple the speed of most other races, and close to half that of a gold bell). Elona+ also gives you the ability to give pets new abilities and change AI routines, which may be necessary for making use of the cat sister's abilities, especially considering her routine is melee.
Evolution[]
In Elona+, Younger cat sisters have two paths of evolution. They can either evolve into a Cat Princess or Catsister God.
Path A[]
Younger cat sisters can be evolved into a Cat Princess with a <king heart>, gaining 50 life, 10 speed, the Emergency Evasion special action, and a new sprite.
Path B[]
Younger cat sisters can be evolved into a Catsister God with a <god heart>, gaining 100 speed, the Emergency Evasion special action, and a new sprite.
Omake Overhaul[]
In Omake Overhaul, Younger Cat Sisters may randomly be encountered in towns and dungeons. In towns, they will challenge you to a game of tag or hide and seek. In dungeons, they will be under attack by monsters and need to be rescued. After you successfully win the game or rescuing the Younger Cat Sister, she will reward you with platinum coins and special steamed meat buns.
