The Doomed status effect isn't really explained in the article. Recommend elaborating on doomed. 00:38, 21 April 2009 (UTC)Anonymous

tbh, I'm not sure what Doomed does because I've never used one. Having encountered other adventurers using them, I have a suspicion that it enables the worse attributes, such as blood sucking and attracting monsters. -- Kasarn 02:36, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

When i had a cursed item go to doomed the only change i noticed was that it went from teleporting every 30-40 moves to teleporting every 5-10... Which makes getting anywhere nearly impossible... -- Rift06 15:16, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

I've accidentally given one of my pets a doomed cloak. What can I do to remove it? EDIT: nevermind, giving your partner a scroll of uncurse will make them use it —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talkcontribs) 11:14, 24 April 2009

Curse also seems to cause very frequent teleporting. Doomed items also seem to always sell for 1. --Lord \ofObscurity 16:24, 10 August 2009 (UTC) Lord \ofobscurity

Scrolls of uncurse seem to be unable to remove doomed. An unfortunate situation arose in which one of my pieces of equipment was randomly cursed twice in a row during sleep (what?) and now I'm stuck with this doomed bow I don't even use. 00:05, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

After some experimentation, I have found that dooming CAN be removed with uncurse scrolls, it's just extremely difficult. It took about 20 (normal) scrolls of uncurse to get the object uncursed. Remliel 03:54, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

Cursed rods of uncurse seem to curse stuff of whoever gets zaped by it. So is it possible to, for example, curse someone you want to kill in town but can't because they're too strong (the ragnarok dude comes to mind) until they're stuffed with doomed items and get assassinated? 08:46, September 25, 2010 (UTC)

It would be worth a try, but I think you can only aim Uncurse rods at your own inventory. Of course, if I'm mistaken, that it's certainly a viable option, unless your victim has curse-resistant gear. --Estyn 15:13, September
You are mistaken; it is a viable option. -Jatopian 15:50, September 27, 2010 (UTC)
