I fought a missionary of darkness in the port kapul arena and he dropped a book of resurrection --erdraug —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.220.20.23 (talkcontribs) 06:19, 5 May 2009

I just got a bugged book. I think it was dropped by some sort of invisible potion throwing monster that crawled out of a well. It also dropped a potion of cure minor wounds.--Lord \ofObscurity 07:29, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Book of Rachel[]

BookofRachelScreenShot.jpg

Contrary to the info in the article, I found a Book of Rachel (No. 1) in the Puppy Cave before accepting the rare books quest:

However, I've only been playing this for a short while, so I'm not confident that it's appropriate to edit the wiki. Can anyone else confirm that this has happened to them/is a bug?

A lot of the stuff of the wiki has never been confirmed. It's probably that, because the Books of Rachel are rare, few players have found one before getting the quest. -- Kasarn 05:01, November 3, 2009 (UTC)
I confirmed getting Rachel books before accepting the quest as well Dataslycer 19:49, November 3, 2009 (UTC)

The last paragraph states that reviving a town NPC nets you 2 Karma, and permanently anchors them into the spot you revive them at. So is it possible to "evacuate" a part of town permanently to rob it subsequently in the future? So killing and reviving 10 NPC's might cost a bit for once but pickpocketing half a town as often as I want will yield considerably more Mainbrain 17:12, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

Yes. For example, you can conveniently fill the mostly empty southwest corner of Palmia with all Citizen NPCs after slaughtering them mercilessly. So yes, you can essentially revive the whole town into a single block and have the rest of the place rendered lifeless for the pickings. Good luck getting that many books though. --Haisho 17:28, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

Town Books[]

What do these books do? What are they good for?

Every once and a while I find them in a dungeon, and they seem to function just like the city charts in every town, but even those leave me clueless as to why they're even there. Please help! =)

Ps. I did that last message.

steal more TextBooks in the shelter during bad weather[]

Once I have stolen a TextBook,I leave the shelter immediatly. Then I talk with the Innkeeper to enter the shelter again and again to steal more Book until my stamina run out.

Removed link to "A Book" proof[]

Clicking on that image link sent me to an image, yes, but surrounded by 3 porn popups. I figured I'd do the wiki a favor and remove it. If you're going to link to outside images, use a decent image uploader like imgur.com or something. 68.196.101.175 18:28, July 21, 2011 (UTC)
