Stealth is a perception based skill that allows you to avoid being detected by other characters. This is most notable with regards to bosses, who will start knocking down walls to get to you when they have detected you.

Stealth is absurdly easy to train - you passively gain experience every turn you spend near NPCs. This counts your pets. Simply staying in a safe area and resting near your pets trains the skill. Because this also slightly trains perception, which is fairly difficult to train otherwise, this skill may be most useful just for training your perception.

Stealth in Elona+[]

In Elona+, players gain a bonus critical hit chance if they attack a creature that hasn't noticed them yet, making this skill have some actual use. Pets can start leveling this skill as well.

Stealth in Omake Overhaul[]

In Omake overhaul, Stealth is more effective and affects pickpocket success.

If Stealth is high enough, enemies should not be able to notice the player is taking a stroll right beside them.

Higher Stealth decreases chance of waking up sleeping NPCs around the area, thereby increasing stealing success rate. Stealth also will gain experience upon successfully stealing.
