This quest is in the Elona+ mod of Elona. The English name was originally a major translation error, but has since been corrected. It formerly appeared as "Piratte Hunting Level 110".

From: <Eila>the fugitive Kunoichi, who is in the extreme lower right part of Port Kurualm in South Tyris. To start the quest, you must have 80,000 fame.

Description: Eila, a kunoichi, has escaped from her evil clan, and their law demands for the blood of traitors. She asks the player to guide them to the clan's base to wipe out both clan and leader, Getuei the ninja master, but her exact reasons are not very clear...

This map is one-time only, meaning that once the player leaves they cannot come back.

Journal Updates

  • Quest accepted: Eila in Kurualm asked me to anihilate[sic] the ninja corps. Eila will lead me there.
  • Quest completed: Ninja corps succesfully anihilated[sic] but I have some strange feeling. I need to refer to Eila.

Strategies

To start the quest, you need to have 80,000 fame. If you don't meet the fame requirement, <Eila> will still be there, but will not offer to begin the quest. If you have enough fame, she will offer to start the quest, using Loyter's Nightmare! quest text. Selecting to begin the quest won't immediately warp you to the Ninja House, you have to talk to her again. Once you accept the warp, you can return to Port Kurualm through the stairs near the bottom of the map if needed, and can warp back again by talking to the kunoichi.

The first warp will start you near the stairs, but warps afterwards may send you to another part of the map. The map itself has some items in it, but they need to be pickpocketed if you want to pick them up. There's nothing that important here. The enemies can be a serious problem because of the splitting, and <Getuei> can do serious damage with his <Black Monkshood>. Every ninja must be killed to complete the quest, it doesn't end after killing the boss. This includes all ninja copies that split off. Fortunately, <Getuei> does not split.

In combat, Getuei does not use any spells or special actions, but his attacks more than make up for it. His attack routine is to engage into melee as soon as the player enters the map. The most dangerous aspect of fighting him is his <Black Monkshood> that causes heavy damage and superb paralysis and poison damage, possibly leaving the player in "Poisoned Bad!" status in one hit and making them lose several turns paralyzed, thus it's suggested to bring equipment with status prevention or superb resistance to poison and nerve.

Besides his weapon, Getuei has great (but not perfect) accuracy, high speed and high critical chance, players are advised to raise PV as much as possible (in any armor type), raise speed and the Speed spell (alternatively, bring a speedy mount and high Riding skill), and to be sure, high level Feather and Holy Shield spells. If the player absolutely cannot take a hit, stock many Teleport spells and scrolls of teleport. Finally, Getuei has superb resistance to all elements but raw magic, cut and acid damage.

After clearing the map, your journal will be updated, and you receive the message "you hand him a capsule drag", from the recruitment of the <Kaneda Bike> sequence (no longer as of version 1.43). Using the stairs at the bottom of the map will warp you back to the <Eila>. After speaking to her, she will kill herself, followed by the text "This is the Ninja's rule", completing the quest. Along with the aforementioned treasures, she will also leave behind her card and figurine.

Dialogue

Currently there are no translated dialogue for the quest. The prompt uses placeholder dialogue from the Nightmare! quest and completion uses two pages of "Th-thank you... thank..." from one of the endings to the Pael and her mom quest, followed by the passive text "This is the Ninja's rule."
