This NPC type only appears in the Elona+ version of Elona. They are a stronger version of the Ninja.

Ninja sprites are different depending on whether they are male or female. They use the same sprites as the Ninja, but with a red tint.

They are invisible and only appear when your character uses invisible seeing equipment, or when they are wet. They split when taking damage, keeping the status of the monster they split from. They attack with a mixture of melee and thrown missile attacks. While they tend to use the thrown weapon, they will not move back when in melee range.

Resistances are Superb for all but magic, but they are lost when recruited.

Their name may or may not be a reference to the game Red Ninja or the G.I Joe Red Ninjas.

Evolutions

Red ninja cannot be evolved.

Customization

The sprite number for the Red ninja are 81 for male and 82 for female, with a color modifier of 3 (red).
