Races

Race adjusts a character's attributes and skills in combination with their class. Race may also grant a racial bonus, and determines what body slots are available for equipping weapons and armors.

Extended races

There are a number of NPC races which can be played by editing config.txt to have extraRace set to "1". Be warned that these classes aren't always friendly for new players. They are debug races, unsupported, unbalanced, and technically cheating. Many of these races do not have the standard amount of of equipment slots and there is no way to gain more equipment slots without hacking or using wizard mode to get the mutant racial feat. For example dog has no weapons slots, so a dog character can never use weapons.
