Quicklings are very fast and have good magic resistance. They use bat movement A.I.
If you can throw poison accurately, it is a very easy way of defeating them. Unlike their archer cousins, they use melee attacks, so armor that deals cut damage (like the Shield of Thorn) will tear them apart.
Quicklings can be dominated, captured, or summoned using the scroll of ally. In terms of speed, Quicklings are the fastest in game, faster than the Silver Bell, and are also as resistant to magic. Quicklings are best armed with a Bow or a Crossbow (because of their high DEX). With their incredible speed, they can dish out 8 or 9 arrows for every turn you make*, making them very great pets. (Elona+ changed how speed works and allows up to 5 turns when at a speed advantage.)
Quicklings are very vulnerable to accurate attacks, acid puddles, poison, fire, and bleeding. Giving an item that floats can prevent them from dying from acid puddles generated by slimes, potions, or spells.
Items which have poison resistances are also good to equip on Quicklings so poison attacks aren't as lethal. Diminishing bleeding is rather rare but if you can get it, it will help massively. A good artifact bow will make them cut down everything frighteningly quick unless the opponent has serious HP levels. (Elemental damage and spells are best, but in the case of spells, remember that they can also decimate you if it's something like chaos ball, so be careful.)
