Messengers of death are hostile NPCs. They are a stronger, second-tier version of the Executioner, and act pretty much the same.

In combat they prefer to stay at distance and cast Ice Bolt to attack, Short Teleport to keep their distance and use Word of Death special action.

Like most undead NPCs, they have innate weakness to fire and Superb resistance to darkness, nether, and nerve.

They always spawn equipped with a scythe, a helm, and a rock, all of low-level quality and material. They commonly drop their scythe upon death.

Like many magic-type NPCs, they might drop scrolls, potions, or material boxes upon death.

Elona+ Changes

Messengers of death no longer cast Ice Bolt, instead they now cast Lightning Bolt, making them much more efficient as pets. They also received a boost in Speed. They also gain the Firearm skill.
