<Marka> the silver bear is an Elona+ exclusive unique NPC who apparently plays an important role in the main storyline, detailed at the bottom of this page (spoilers).
<Marka> wields a random rock (boulder-sized ranged weapon that weighs 25s), and she comes with the innate buff that enables her to give and take extra damage. She has Superb resistance to cold-based attacks. She is innately resistant to Fear.
Despite being equipped with the new type of projectile, <Marka> is more likely to use melee attacks than ranged. Her distinguishing feature is the rarely-used Squeeze special action.

The story[]

Marka's story in Japanese.
You first encounter <Marka> in a message when you reach the fourth floor of Cradle of Chaos, with her line being: "So you are also of the same genus as the others..." . Going through the unfinished (English) dialogue results in a new main-quest journal entry (I need to bring information of the silver bear to Eristia at once.)
A subsequent visit to Erystia the scholar of history in Palmia results in more storyline progression, untranslated in English. Erystia eventually says: "Do not forget to arrive at Mayroon, please contact me through the informer". The dialogue is concluded with five types of items placed at your feet (Asteroid Belt, 5 platinum coins, 5 card packs, 5 small medals and 500 music tickets). The main quest in your journal is also updated ("I should research in LostIrva").
Later on in the main story, she appears in Noyel after a certain point in which you accept the second option of Erystia's quests. Talking to her there (only after accepting the quest, as you will not be able to transport to the new map) will prompt you if you are ready, where you will be taken to the Ice Castle and encounter chaos monsters and boss <Lazasye> the destroy. <Marka> will join you temporarily as a friendly NPC that follows you and attacks monsters, like a Palmian elite soldier. After killing <Lazasye> and leaving the map, you will return to Noyel. Talking to Erystia will reward you with <Argent Snow>, a bottle of speed upper, 3 high potions of soma, 5 scrolls of growth, and 3 books of resurrection.
