Luck affects many different skills and abilities in ways that are still as yet unknown. It is one of the hardest attributes to increase, the other being Speed. It is not displayed on the character information screen.
What Luck Affects
After cheating to huge amounts of luck, many effects are easily observable. Luck has an effect on
- Fishing
- Greater Evasion
- Playing blackjack
- Finding good random events.
- Preventing bad random events.
Furthermore it has no observable effect on
- Weather
- Stealing
- Etherwind disease
- Number or quality of job offers
- Hit rate
- Damage
Increasing your Luck
There are only five known ways to permanently increase your luck, those being:
- Taking the three feats that increase Luck.
- Wishing for "Skill Luck".
- Getting a luck boost from Ehekatl of Luck if you worship her.
- Eating a rabbit's tail.
- Eating a happy apple.
- (Untested) Drinking from a well and getting this message: 'you feel as though a stroke of good fortune as passed through' Unsure wether or not this increases luck, Please test if you have the tools to do so.
Luck can also be temporarily increased by:
- Having a lucky day (a random buff obtained when sleeping that lasts for 1500 turns).
- Eating blessed food (v1.14).
- Using a Statue of Ehekatl
How Much Luck Increases By
Characters have a starting luck value of 50.
- Getting a luck feat adds +5 luck. This can be done 3 times to total +15 luck.
- Wishing for "skillluck" gives +1 luck
- Wearing mica equipment gives +3 luck while it's equipped
- Eating a rabbit's tail gives +1 luck
- Eating a happy apple gives +20 luck
