Elona+ exclusive NPC added in version 2.00.
Naturally floats, immune to fear, and automatically triggers Word of Death. Natural superb chaos resistance. The equipment attribute "inflicts massive damage to gods" is effective.
He wields both the <Mournblade> and the <Stormbringer>. Which does bring his magic resistances up to superb.
What you see as far as level, attributes, and AI data are never actually used...
As he is the actual final boss of the Elona+ main quest line.
If you haven't already, throw on your defensive buffs (Holy Veil and Attribution Shield are likely the 2 most important ones). Keep only pets with increased quality out if you plan on using them. Do these as <Orphe> the chaos disciple is about to die.
After downing Orphe, which should be quick thanks to the help you receive, you'll begin fighting him.
His fight doesn't work normally. There's lore reasons that's currently untranslated, but you can get an idea why as it happens.
You and all NPCs all take 1 turn each. Speed makes no difference.
He has a fixed pattern:
Turn 1: Heals 10% HP, MP, and SP. Turn 2: Gains 200% power gauge Turn 3: Use 50% gauge to halve HP of all characters minus user. Can fail without the gauge. Turn 4: Use 50% power gauge to potentially apply Punishment, Paralyze, and Death Word status and hexes. Can fail like above. Turn 5: Use 50% power gauge to apply 1d100 of insanity. Can fail. Turn 6: Use 50% power gauge to halve power gauge and sp of all characters minus user. Can fail. Turn 7: Deals 12 weak hits of every element and "pv + dv element".
Survive 3 rounds of that, then the fight proceeds. Which shouldn't be hard to do. Your pets can help lower his gauge to make 1 round no problem at all.
And then, just run towards and into him. Nothing else will work, including menus.
You should be able to win if the counter up top is at 30 or higher. The minimum the counter starts at is 26, and increases for subquests you have completed and number of pets at friendly or higher (in your current list).
Miscellaneous[]
His corpse does increase chaos resistance if consumed, but that's a moot point at this time.
His in-game name also has no space between the right bracket and "The". For wiki consistency purposes, this was ignored.
If spawned at unmodified base level (not legitimately possible as of version 2.05, when this was made):
- 4278855 HP, 427883 MP
- 16450/2000 INI
If recruited (same disclaimer as above; recruitment penalty and standard resistance losses apply):
- 89615 HP, 44800 MP
- 3650/400 INI

His effects are under the "interface" bitmap file.
The effects shown in the gif here are not completely representative of his look + effects in game; they are positioned slightly differently, have different patterns, and glow a bit differently.
