Greater Evasion

Greater Evasion is a perception based skill that allows you to "evade inaccurate attacks."

For vanilla Elona, this means a chance to dodge a critical hit (which normally hit 100%). Greater Evasion does not seem to provide an additional chance to dodge a normal hit.

Elona Plus

Its effect is to grant a second evasion chance, provided Greater Evasion*10 is higher than the incoming accuracy. This chance is based on the ratio of the defender's evasion to the attacker's accuracy, with 3 discrete tiers. When evade is 3x or more the accuracy of the incoming attack, Greater Evasion has a base 60% chance to dodge it. At 2x to 3x, the base chance is 40%, and at 1.5x to 2x, the base chance is 20%. Levelling Greater Evasion increases these chances further.

Also, damage from melee (if the character has a weapon equipped in the dominant hand) and ranged gauge attacks will be reduced by Greater Evasion skill as long as the roll for the latter is successful. Both the chance of damage reduction and the multiplier for ranged gauge reduction are half of those for Greater Evasion's effect on melee attacks.

Gravity status ailment will completely negate Greater Evasion.
