Factions is a mechanic in Omake Overhaul.
Factions are the faiths, guilds, families, alignment, natures, and groups a character belongs to. A character will belong to at least one family, have an alignment, and multiple natures.
Characters belonging to same families will become allies and characters with differing families as enemies. For example, monsters belonging to Undead will attack monsters belonging to Wild.

This feature is implemented by extending filter. function. Existing filters are treated as innate factions.
By typing showfaction in console command you can check factions of all NPCs in the current area.
This feature is based on "Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul", one of the mods for "The elder scrolls series 4 : Oblivion".
