Diabolic clowns are a type of hostile NPC in Elona+. Their race is the Elona+ exclusive Mazin race.

They will always attempt to move into melee range before attacking. Their attacks consist of dual wield melee attacks (19%), throwing their ranged weapon (still at melee range) (38%), casting Mist of Frailness (19%), the touch of fear special action (19%), and stealing gold with suspicious hand (5%). Since version 2.03, they also use the Jyusou Goushin special action (healing as well as self-curse and the buff of the same name, the strength of which is based on the number of cursed items). Another relatively new special action is Tickling Hell, introduced in version 2.04.

Occasionally, it will spawn with the Slash Joker in its inventory (a 1/100 chance). It may also carry sox in its inventory for you to steal from, for weapon crafting.

They drop all their gold upon death. They have innately resistance to nether (Strong, 24% damage taken). All other resistances shown are NPC level resistance bonuses and will be lost on recruitment.
