Demi liches are the 3rd and final tier of liches in Elona. They are very powerful spellcasters that can defeat even a nether dragon, AI allowing.

It casts primarily nether and darkness spells as well as debilitating hexes. Using methods of silencing can help immensely.

Like the previous liches, it tends to carry rare accessories, notably speed rings. A quick and strong enough character with a high level of pickpocket can swipe a ring from a lich. Teleporting does not stop the pickpocketing action, but it's best to put them to sleep before attempting to steal.

Don't take one as a pet if you aren't capable of Gene Engineering it - its lack of Control Magic combined with its monstrously powerful bolt spells make it just as dangerous to you and your allies as your enemies. A Spiral King is a better option, though a Demi lich is perfectly good if you can prevent its friendly fire.

Elona+ changes

Besides an evolution, they gain the Firearm skill. They also lose some resistances.

Evolution

Demi liches can be evolved into Orugashizuru using a <magic heart>, gaining 40 magic, 30 speed, and a new sprite with purple tint.

The sprite number for the demi lich is 202, with a color modifier of 17.
