Bards are neutral NPCs found in towns that will randomly play music for tips or rocks (the second mostly seen during early play) from the surrounding NPCs. They are guaranteed to spawn with a musical instrument of some sort, usually generic but occasionally of varied quality and material. Bards are neutral and won't pay attention to the player unless attacked. In battle, they do not have any special actions or spells, and either they will close into melee before attacking (most often) or shoot from a bow (very rarely). They spawn with a set of armor, helm, weapon, ranged weapon, and arrow, all of cheap quality and material. Attacking or killing bards does not result in karma loss. They may spawn carrying the Stradivarius.
Elona+ Changes[]
The bards have received a slight increase to their Throwing skill (31 with 45% potential), also like many other NPCs they now spawn with trained Firearm skill. They also have an updated sprite.
