In Elona+, you may adjust the attack modes of pets, either via using an attack flag or the directive special action. Basically, there are 3 primary attack modes.
- Offensive mode
This is the normal mode which pets are usually in. In this mode, pets will seek enemies and try to kill them. - Defensive mode
When switched to this mode, there will be a small blue square in front of pets' HP bar. In this mode, pets will NOT make any attacks and hence will receive only 1/3 of the original damage. - Intercept mode
When switched to this mode, there will be a small orange square in front of pets' HP bar. In this mode, pets will follow the user's movement;once pets are far away from the user, they will try to move toward the user.
