Melee Attack | Pregnant |
Alien is a hostile creature you can find in dungeons and the wilderness. Aliens' melee attacks deal acid damage and they can also cause pregnancy.
Details[]
Aliens are very fast and have good survivability, but do not make good pets since the aliens created from pregnant enemies will be hostile to you; enemy equipment that you might find worthy of using or selling may also be damaged by acid from their attacks.
Alien kids are roughly between 40-60% the power of the monster they come out of, although from testing they have a small chance of being almost exactly the strength of the person/monster they come out of. Only your alien kid (or those from other adventurers) will have a name- for instance; if your character's name is "Devil", the alien's name will be "Devil's kid". Watch what you infect or it could possibly be a while before you can safely enter that town/area. Even worse, over time the other NPC adventurers can drag the infestation into other towns, so deal with this problem as soon as possible.
- An easy fix is using a nuclear bomb, but this has costly karma effects if you don't have a Secret treasure of the wicked Feat. If you don't mind cheating, you can simply reset the town.
Their special action "Pregnant" cannot be dodged, but the pregnant effect may be avoided by equipment that prevents aliens from entering your body; however, the move will still deal damage. Note that your pets and NPCs may be targeted as well. Drinking from a well may also cause pregnancy, as will eating the corpse of an alien. Vomiting or quaffing a poison, dye, or sulfuric acid (or giving one to a pet) will kill the alien children in your or your pet's stomach, especially useful if you don't have the necessary equipment to prevent pregnancy.
The value of body parts (eye, blood, etc) from an alien child will vary with its level. It might be worthwhile if you are working on Negotiation or building up your Shop rank to let your pets become impregnated, especially if you worship Yacatect (Elona+). Not to mention, their corpses are good to use on altars.
Evolution[]
In Elona+, female Aliens can be evolved into an Alien Queen using a <king heart>, gaining 30 strength, 20 constitution, 10 speed, and a new sprite (number 643, row 20, column 17).
Previously, they retained their sprite but with a yellow tint. This evolution also required an <another heart> instead.
Miscellanous[]
In older versions of Elona+, they didn't have detection, sense quality/analysis, anatomy, and eye of mind. Their levels in healing and stealth were lower too. Also in Elona+, unlike most evolutions, their name doesn't seem to actually change into "alien queen" automatically on evolution.

In Elona+, their tint color is 17.
