Translation note or something:

地雷女 (jirai-onna), or landmine women, refers to women who appear to be attractive potential romantic partners but once you get to know them their personality is full of red flags (minesweeper pun intended). The new enemies are a more literal interpretation of the phrase, but the "landmine girl" enemy seems to use the original definition and hence has the "Cowering Smile, Chaos Eye, Nerve Needle, Mist of Silence, and Nightmare" moveset.

With the new update, the throwing seems hit harder than melee attack, here is my combat roll:

Umarmed: 2d26+31 *10.5

Dist: 1d12+31*9.9

The damage done from throwing is almost twice more than melee attacks.

The ranged attack modifier (not visible on character sheet) is almost 8 time higher than it was in 2.20, and that's before the modifier change.

In 2.20. Shotgun range 1 have a 100 rangemap, that is ((R/2)+150)/100 = 200% dmg.

In 2.21. The shotgun range 1 have a 200 rangemap, the formula changed to ((Rx4)+110)/100, which is 910% dmg.

And most throwable have their rangemap doubled. You could expect a x7.1 modifier on top of your x9.9 modifier, which is about 37*70=2590 dmg before pv reduction.

Thanks for the clarification. Is it a bug or desiged to be like this?

There don't seem to be any bug reports about that at this moment. It does sound like a thing that will get rebalanced next version though.
