The per-major release version is easier to maintain since it also means links to the version's changelog won't be broken every now and then. (not sure if you know, pages can be loaded using {{:pagename}} like {{:Changelog_E+/2.0.3}} and it'll load the contents of said page.
I would really like to know what Melt Clinch does but I could not figure it out from Japanese wiki and wizard mode does not even tell me how much damage it is doing aside that it is acid damage.
The other one seems pretty useless. An aoe on something that's feature is drawing enemies away from a group.
The adding stuff to equipment is neat and Mad Scientist now actually has a use.
>I would really like to know what Melt Clinch does
You can actually ctrl+f the version_en technical (elonaplus) .txt file that comes with the game. It's not updated often, but should be ok for most things.
> does not even tell me how much damage it is doing
I can see it on wizard mode in version 2.02. Did you turn on damage display in detailed settings? And damage display shouldn't need wizard mode.
From 1.69:
* Melt Clinch
** Applies 1 turn of Bind to the user and the target, and also 1 turn of Atrophy to the target. Neither of these status ailments stack.
** It will also deal a small amount non-reducible acid-element damage to targets that is dependent on the user's Strength and Constitution attributes.
** The slimenoid and slimeroper [evolutions] (NB: no English names?) will now use this move.
I was referring to damage display as in special action list where it says how much damage is done on many skills. I was in wizard mode because I needed a way to actually have access to the skill.
Thanks for that info. I was wondering what it scaled off of.
Also they had that move? Well time to update pet evolution page.
I would really like to know how to merge cells in the table.
Hi All, just came across this game. Is installing v2.03 and selecting English the only thing I need to do? Just curious if I should be adding mods or gameplay with this version is complete. Thanks!
I found a bug.
After I recruited "catgod hand" (coz why not) with domination spell, the game crashed when I open a door.

Yes. Actually, there's no installation needed. Just unzip it somewhere and run the .exe.
> Just curious if I should be adding mods or gameplay
I think there are external tools (kusotool?) that you can use that really help out, but just the game alone is fine.

Is it reproducible?
After this update all item interactions with pets became very slow. I.e. each give or take action takes now about 2-3 seconds. It not influenced containers or sellers - I still can put/get scrolls from the bookcase or sell ten items almost instantly, for example. Is it normal?
Doesn't sound normal. The latest bug reports on the blog are hidden from the public and there's nothing similar on the japanese wiki bug report page.
Tried old (1.9x) versions that definitely was good. Got the same problem. :( So it's not Elona, it's my PC.
Tried at my gaming PC - everything is fine. :| But those computer is much more powerful - I didn't beef my work machine, as I rarely start anything here, except MS Office, browser and accidental Elona.
Now I remember: year ago I changed my "work" PC from old XP to new Windows 10 x64. Seems, exactly this is the reason of the problem. I never could guess that desktop of 2005 is more suited for Elona+ than 2015+ hardware... :(
Ok, thank you for nudging me into the right direction. But now I am curious what exactly is the reason of such slowdown... Right now I am guessing memory (it's only 4Gb - just as it was on XP, but those OS is much less demanding for it). Everything else _must_ be more powerful than XP, I think.
What do you think?
