I've never mentioned it before, but part of my real life job involves disasters [claims].

The claims for a disaster don't start and end on the day itself - the aftermath can last anywhere from 6 months to 1 year afterwards depending on the scale. The amount of money that gets moved each time is in the range of 100s of millions and with that comes a proportional amount of paperwork.

That deluge of paperwork in turn requires a stupendous amount of time and effort. They also don't hire more people to handle that surge every time there is a disaster, and the other facets of the job don't exactly go away either.

So I've recently been doing 4-8 hours overtime and voluntarily coming into work on off days to handle the aftermath of the torrential rains in July. (Some of that overtime won't be paid for because they said they don't have the budget for it.) That wasn't going very well so I was prepared to put in even more overtime - but now we have typhoon #10 [Haishen] coming up on top of that. Overtime hell is going to get even worse, so Elona Plus development is going to have to take a backseat now.

I've therefore released 2.00 before typhoon #10 hits. I don't know if I'm going to be able to handle any bug fixes or feature requests from now on. Sorry. You may want to put bug reports on the wiki instead of this blog so that other users can see them. If you don't hear from me 1 year after a release, you can assume that my job has killed me.

It's been a long journey full of obstacles, but here we are. Finally.

It's just too bad that my real-life job is getting in the way at this important stage.

I'm pretty happy to have cooked up an alternative to Elona's abrupt story ending. But there's still so much stuff that I'd like to do... and so much that I lack the skill to do... man, this is so lame... can't even be properly pleased with this...

I'd like to continue with development, but in case I don't return, keep on loving Elona! And Etherwind too!

I hope everything will be alright, I love your efforts put in Elona. At the start I didnt know from what should I start and I abandoned this, but now - few months later I tried again and I love this. Be safe and cheers.

I'm still working on off days as usual and will be doing overtime next week, but the bug that prevents players from entering [Act II] is too important to ignore. I'll probably find some time during the weekend to put out a 2.00fix. I'd love to fix other bugs as well but that might not be possible.

To the person who reported the crash that occurred after using a rod of alchemy: I couldn't reproduce the bug, so please send a save file that can be used to reproduce it.

I'll be extremely busy this month and quite busy next month, and busier than usual after that so I don't know if I can find time to fix that.

@Futae no Kiwami , yes, these can be edited only by admins and Discussion moderators now - one of the many shortcomings of the new system. I've done a quick update to the original post and title.
